Wed 04/22 The Waterboys with special guests Connor Kennedy & Minstrel 8:00pm All Ages
“People should expect the unexpected from The Waterboys,” says Mike Scott, a grin in his voice. It’s a mission statement which has inspired three decades of compelling musical shape-shifting, and one which yields thrilling results on The Waterboys’ magnificent eleventh album. Recorded in Nashville, Modern Blues is an electric, eclectic, soulful, bold and gloriously freewheeling rock'n'roll record, arriving at a time when the relevance and popular reach of The Waterboys has never been greater. In 2013 Ellie Goulding scored a top 3 UK hit with their “How Long Will I Love You” and earlier this year Prince performed “The Whole of the Moon” solo at the piano during his Hit + Run show at Ronnie Scott’s in London, while the same song was performed by finalist Sally Barker on primetime BBC 1 show The Voice. In recent times “A Pagan Place” has become a live staple for hot US indie band The War on Drugs and Waterboys’ songs have been used in movies like About Time, Dom Hemingway and What We Did On Our Holiday.

In 2014, John Darnielle's novel Wolf in White Van spent several weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List and was nominated for the National Book Award. On April 7, 2015 Darnielle and his band the Mountain Goats return with Beat the Champ a collection of songs about professional wrestling. “I wrote these songs to re-immerse myself in the blood and fire of the visions that spoke to me as a child, and to see what more there might be in them now that I’m grown,” Darnielle says of Beat the Champ's 12 songs.

Mon 04/27 Butch Walker with special guests Jonathan Tyler, The Dove & The Wolf 8:00pm All Ages
"man... Bios kinda suck. I've been doing these things for so long now, that I feel like just when I have written the mother of all things informative and maybe funny, I go and record a new record. Why does shit always have to evolve and the information change every time another year goes by? Why, since the last bio (which I felt was an understated masterpiece) did I have to go and do shit to deem it necessary for an update? Just because between the last album, "I Liked it Better When You Had No Heart" and now, I have: shot a video for "Pretty Melody" from the album ILIBWYHNH, wore a tv on my head in it and fought ninjas, got it featured on YouTube and it got a half million views, did a sold out headlining tour of the states last year, supported Train on a sold out tour of the states, then went and supported Pink on a sold out stadium tour of Europe all summer, including sold out headlining club shows of our own over there." - Butch Walker

Tue 04/28 Circa Survive with special guests Balance & Composure, Chon 8:00pm All Ages
Circa Survive, the progressive 5-piece rock band from Doylestown, Pennsylvania self-produced their fourth album Violent Waves at Studio 4 in suburban Philadelphia. For the release, the band developed a new method of self-releasing their records, having previously recorded for Equal Vision and Atlantic Records and sold a half-million albums in the process. Circa Survive has always prided themselves on the extraordinary relationship they have with their fans - this new release model allows them to push the self-release paradigm one step further. “Collectively we've run the gamut from working with really small DIY labels to big indies all the way to a major label," noted guitarist Colin Frangicetto. “The band has learned a ton from each of those experiences and at this point feel confident in our ability to successfully produce, release and promote a record on our own. There's really nothing more satisfying to us then bringing our vision to the world in this way.”
