Wed 07/08 Mudhoney with special guests The Cynics, Nox Boys 7:30pm All Ages
Every now and then, a combination will go beyond "appropriate" or "good" and result in something that forever alters the universe. Just imagine a world without chocolate and peanut butter, Doc Martens and a leather jacket, Beavis and Butthead, and of course, Mudhoney and Sub Pop. April 2013 marks the 25th anniversary of both Mudhoney and Sub Pop Records, and there could be no better band to represent the label, past, present and future. Nirvana, Saint Etienne and Fleet Foxes are swell, but no other group has consistently kicked as much ass as Mudhoney, nor has anyone come close. Through two and a half decades, sarcastic grins remain implanted on their grizzled faces, even as empty bottles and the sneakers of a stage diver fly inches from their heads. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets
Fri 07/10 ALL THE YEARS: The Show Performs Songs from Their First Two Releases with special guests Spacefish, Apex Gibbon, The Plot Twist, Lusting 7:00pm All Ages
The Show's frontmen Johnny Saint-Lethal and Brandon Mitchell met in 2005 while Mitchell was hitchhiking from Albuquerque to New York City. Two years later, the pair formed The Show with a vision of making rock-based aggressive-indie music, with a psychedelic-pop atmosphere. They wanted each and every album to be different. The band released their debut album, "Here's To Your Jigsaw" in November 2009, receiving airplay for "I Don't Mind" in the UK, "To Save My Soul" on the US college circuit, and "Black & Blue" on light late night rotation on US commercial radio. The band toured the US and UK in support of Jigsaw in through 2010. With a heavy live concert schedule, the band supported many artists from Soul Asylum, CJ Ramone of the Ramones, Filter, School of Seven Bells, Red Jump Suit Apparatus, Miniature Tigers, World Party, Jaill, A Silent Film, and many more. This demonstrated the wide-range of appeal and genre-barrier breaking the band was able to accomplish. [continued on 7/11 show info] | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401
Sat 07/11 HOPES AND FEARS: The Show Performs Material From Their Next Two LPs with special guests Kleptosonic, Court IV, We Were Telepathic 7:00pm All Ages
[cont. from 7/10 info] While preparing to record their follow up in 2012 with Chris Potter (The Verve, U2, Rolling Stones), Johnny developed pre-cancerous lesions directly on his vocal cords and was ordered to not use his voice for 90 days. By January of 2013, Saint-Lethal made a full recovery, and the band did a winter tour, ending at The Rex in Pittsburgh to mark their Fifth Anniversary in front of a sold-out crowd. With a new rhythm section, the band recorded and released "Don't Ask Don't Tell" in October 2013 to raise LGBT awareness during the crucial social movement in the United States. It was the lead single of their "...until you know..." EP which was released in February of 2014 to critical acclaim, and heavy rotation on college and indie radio in the US. The band toured in support, included stopping at the Move Festival, Riverjam and Woodstock 45. In 2015, after a southern tour based around Austin's Music Week, the band commenced work on their next two full-lengths. After performing an official showcase at NXNE in Toronto in June 2015, the band will begin shopping their next two releases to labels, and embark a full US and UK Tour in late-Autumn. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401

Sat 07/18 CANCELED - The Ting Tings with special guest Kaneholler 9:00pm All Ages
We regret to inform you that this event has been canceled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.
When they decided to decamp to Ibiza to record their third album Super Critical, Katie and Jules from THE TING TINGS had a slight "uh-oh" moment. "We'd been to Berlin to make the second record," says Jules, "and done nothing but get high and look at great architecture. Going to Ibiza had party written all over it. Obviously we were going to get nothing done." As it turned out, unleashing their party spirit was exactly the impetus and momentum needed to craft something special and true to the starting spirit of their musical adventures. THE TING TINGS were born out of the night-time. They bonded at sun-up, wired in Salford warehouses. Success came as a surprising blind-side to them. Being in the middle of an island for the winter, having to make all their own fun? This is the stuff they excel at. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401

Sat 07/25 91.3 WYEP presents JD McPherson with special guests Jake La Botz, Slim Forsythe 8:30pm All Ages
You could mistake JD McPherson for a revivalist, given how few other contemporary artists are likely to assert, as he boldly does, that "'Keep a Knockin' by Little Richard is the best record ever made. It's so insanely visceral, you feel like it's going to explode your speakers. If I'm listening to that in the car, I find myself having to brake suddenly. I can listen to that and it makes me feel like I'm 20 feet tall. And the feeling of joy I get from that record is always going to be the real push behind trying to make music." But in a very real sense, McPherson is much more a pioneer than roots resuscitator. He's knocking at the door of something that arguably hasn't yet been accomplished - a spirited, almost spiritual hybrid that brings the forgotten lessons from the earliest days of rock & roll into a future that has room for the modernities of studio technique and 21st century singer/songwriter idiosyncrasies that Richard Penniman would not recognize. | Purchase Tickets Online | 866-468-3401 | Reserve Balcony | Local Outlets

Mon 07/27 SOLD OUT!
***SOLD OUT*** Brandon Flowers
8:00pm All Ages
Brandon Flowers was the most popular frontman of the new wave revival, which swept through America and England during the early 2000s. As frontman of the Killers, he helped popularize a genre that hadn't been fashionable for nearly two decades, drawing influence from a number of '80s synth pop bands - including New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen, and the Psychedelic Furs - while writing the songs that comprised his band's multi-platinum debut, Hot Fuss. Flowers also proved to be a super-sized media personality, gathering headlines for his clothing choices (which ran the gamut from neatly tailored suits to bizarrely feathered shoulder pads) and controversial, outspoken opinions on rival bands. Although the Killers retooled their sound with each album, the group rarely subscribed to convention - and Flowers, who launched a solo career in 2010, seemed happy to be the most unconventional of them all. | SOLD OUT! | Reserve Balcony
