Mr. Small's Facilities
Located only 5 minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh, Mr. Smalls Theatre & Funhouse merges together the best of what Pittsburgh has to offer. With our state-of-the-art concert venue, world class recording studio, several art galleries, and our latest additions: The Funhouse Bar & Restaurant and The War Room, our underground draft beer bunker, we produce a wide variety of events throughout the facility, from national acts to local music and DJ’s to private events including weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and corporate gatherings.

Mr. Smalls Theatre
Within the beautifully repurposed former 18th century Catholic Church lives Mr. Smalls Funhouse, Pittsburgh’s premier music venue. With a 650-guest capacity, the theatre boasts a spacious yet intimate design featuring 40ft high ceilings, hardwood floors, custom acoustic reinforcements for superb sound, a spacious monitor room/staging area for artists, a 25x26x3 Stage, as well as professional standard PA and lighting systems. There are multiple bars throughout Mr. Smalls specializing in wine, liquor, draft beers, craft beers, and imported beers respectively. Connected to the venue is the full-service Funhouse Restaurant, an eatery offering salads, subs, pizza, free-range burgers and chicken to hungry concertgoers. Local and national artists alike have played to sold-out crowds in the theatre -- Rusted Root, Anti-Flag, Avenged Sevenfold, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins, Tyler The Creator, All That Remains, and Ziggy Marley are just a few of the amazing talents who have graced our stage. Mr. Smalls Theatre has not only carved a deep niche as the best music venue of its size in Pittsburgh, but as one of the finest in the country. When USA Today/Esquire magazine named Pittsburgh the best place to rock, it followed by saying, "Mr. Small's reputation is growing as quickly as its fans are. It hosted Ryan Adams for a month of rehearsal before his tour with the Rolling Stones, and rapper 50 Cent and the Black Eyed Peas have recorded new work in its studio..."

Mr. Smalls also pioneered the “Live Show Recording” phenomenon in Pittsburgh, recording such bands as Anti-Flag and GWAR. Our audio & video departments can capture every concert live and produce major label-worthy live concert DVD's, official live releases, and studio produced albums. Live multi-tracking from the Theatre Stage to the Creative.Life.Support studio in the Rectory House via a 32-channel snake allows bands to record to an external firewire drive and leave with a multi-track digital recording of their performance. Artists can inquire of these services when booking or advancing concerts.

Mr. Smalls Theatre is also available to rent for private functions, whether it be a Bar/ Bat Mitzvah, prom, wedding reception, university function or a corporate gathering. We at Mr. Smalls Theatre would be happy to accommodate your private events of any kind.

Mr. Smalls Theatre is generally a standing room only venue, except for special events where specified. Arrangements can be made for the needs of disabled people. Arrangements can be made for the needs of those with disabilities.

Skate Park

All of us at Mr. Smalls are sad to release the news that Mr. Smalls Skate Park is permanently closed.
When Mr. Smalls Skatepark opened 10 years ago, we were the only skatepark in the area. 10 years later, free parks have multiplied throughout the city.  Even though the Skatepark will be missed tremendously, there have been some amazing memories created.
